First and Second-Year Studios
Projects early in the curriculum at Wentworth focus on skill building and mastery of materials. First year students work almost exclusively in Bristol paper, while second year students ‘graduate’ to various materials and methods including blue foam and plywood.

Second-year students are introduced to digital drawing, and encouraged to practice the design process through sketching.
Food Studio
Students at the junior level have the opportunity to choose a studio based on their interests. During summer 2021, I ran a studio focused broadly on food. For the final project, students worked on teams to develop products for cooking, eating, and cleaning based on a theme of their choosing.
Senior Thesis
Thesis projects at Wentworth are student-directed independent projects. Throughout the course of the summer semester, students meet with a faculty advisor for one hour each week. Over the past ten years, I’ve advised more than sixty Wentworth thesis projects.
